Sharing Features
The App allows you to share categories with other users. Sharing features require the Rate It – Shared Upgrade, a paid in-app purchase, and a registered account.
When you share a category, you control whether members can add their own ratings and whether members can manage the category. Members of a shared category may see your display name or initials as part of the collaborative experience.
Shared content is only accessible to users with a registered Rate It account who have been invited to the category. You are responsible for the content you choose to share and for managing the access permissions of your shared categories.
Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored securely using Firebase, a Google Cloud service. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
Account Deletion
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App’s settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information from our systems, subject to any legal retention requirements.
Data Access
You may access and review the personal information associated with your account through the App.
Analytics Opt-Out
You may limit the collection of product analytics data by adjusting your device settings. Disabling analytics collection will not affect the core functionality of the App.
Guest Access
The App allows you to use certain features without creating a registered account (“Guest Access”). By using the App as a guest, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, as disclosed on the App’s welcome screen.
When you use the App as a guest, we assign your session a temporary identifier and store any categories, ratings, and other content you create locally on your device. We may also collect the same automatically collected information described above (device information, crash reports, and product analytics data) to maintain and improve the App.
Guest data is subject to automatic deletion. If a guest account has not been used for 180 consecutive days, we will permanently delete the associated guest session and all data stored under it. We are not able to recover data deleted under this policy. To preserve your data, you may create a registered account at any time, which will migrate your guest data to your new account.
